Coordinators Comments: Looking for someone to step up and fill some mighty big shoes.
Chapter Ride: No planned Ride. Feel free to go have fun though. Correspondence: None

Minutes last Meeting: Motion/2nd to dispense of reading minutes. Copies on tables. John noted that a spelling error. I used Cheek and should have said check.
Treasurer Report: $32,669.84 Membership Report: Total Members 173
Membership Drawing: Karen Geddes name drawn for $30.00, NOT PRESENT. Next meeting $35.00
Legislative Report: Dave: Watch for upcoming bills. #116 – Paid Raise for committee, #117 – Rank Choice Voting, #118 - Universal Basic Tax of 3% on business. #119 - Unions for Cannabis workers.
Dave talking to Chris Gorsuch, Joint House Transportation Committee, to get him on board with Motorcyclists bill of rights. Same with Co-Chair, Susan McLain. We need to let people know who we (ABATE) are, to help things move forward.
State Board: James reported state has 562 members and a $33,598.000 in the treasury. Joy discussed the upcoming multi-state Freedom Rally. To be held in Enterprise OR in 2025. State will be in need of several officers. Planning session to be held on Oct 19 & 20, 2024. Every chapter should be represented. State is looking for a new meeting place. Frank Saxton has volunteered to be BikePac Director. Bill Foster will represent us at the Meeting of the Minds. The Newsletter editor loves getting pictures, but please label them with name, date and event. A new products page is in the works on the website. Good news about Fossil, the fire did not hit Bear Hollow. A 48th year t-shirt design is needed. We need volunteers to help at Fossil.
Bike Pac Report: 44 total members statewide. They need more members!!
Executive Board Meeting: No Report. Education/Safety Report: No Report
Historian Report: Mike read some pages from “The History of ABATE”! Very interesting.
Social Media Report: Dave: Facebook has 329 members and Instagram has 220 members.
Webmaster Report: James –. Everything is up to date. Check out the site.
Chapter Chaplain Report: Gods love surpasses all understanding.
Road Captain Report: No report
Public Relations: Dave – Be sure to reach out to Chris Gorsuch and Susan McLain to help protect Motorcyclists rights. Kahn Pham has not been responsive.
Ways & Means/Products: Lee and Larry had lots of great prizes for ways and means.

Run/Committee Reports
Family Picnic All planning details discussed and set in stone. Hope to see you all there.
Toy Run – Committees being formed. Please volunteer some time. But most of all help pass out flyers and get the word out.
Old Business
ABATE at the state level, as well as, our chapter is in need of more officers. Check out the newsletter for available positions. Brad suggested that Joy come to one of our meetings to introduce herself and talk about available officer positions.
New Business: We need volunteers to step up and take on a position. Director, Historian and Education Director. We discussed ways to keep the meeting in order. Maybe Sgt. At Arms could take over the gavel to keep things in order while the officers are directing the meeting otherwise. We discussed the possibility of another swap meet at the Armory. A motion was made by Anna, seconded by Rusty to donate $500.00 to MRF. The vote was a unanimous yes.
